Badolo Rock
Bàdolo is a little village - with few
houses - near the town of Sasso Marconi in the province of Bologna. Badolo
Rock is known among italian climbers as Rocca
di Bàdolo. For many years, it has been considered the outdoor
climbing gym for climbers living in Bologna.
Tiziano Nannuzzi - one of the most famous italian
climber who died in Buthan in 1984 - named it a wonderful sand-castle.
On these sand-stones, thousand of people of all ages coming to Bologna,
not only learn to climb but dream also. Every day on those walls climb
100 of athtletes, amateurs and climbing schools with teachers and beginners.
It would be very long, and perhaps impossible,
to tell you the sport-history of these rock-wall and the secrets of each
climbing route. Anyway this is the largest free climbing-gym for all climbers
living in Bologna.
On this picture
you can see the top of Badolo Rock where there are many
